As the first-born for my immigrant, Spanish-speaking parents, I was always the translator. I'm so glad I've been able to retain my native language and use it in a professional setting to bring more people into politics. That's why some of my favorite projects have been those where I've been able to help Democratic candidates communicate their message in Spanish.
